Biography

I was musically enlightened from birth.

My mother taught, played, listened and performed music during her pregnancy with me. She had several degrees in philosophy and in music. She taught me music at the age of three. I continued on to play in a college repertoire performance and at the University of Maryland during early middle schools years. I studied with a local concert pianist and artist-in-residence at the university. I won a local competition in the 8th grade against all types of talent, including singing bands and other instrumentalists. After high school I did one and a half years at University of Maryland before transferring to the University of Alaska to study with famous French concert pianist Jean-Paul Billard who himself had studied with Alfred Gontot who studied with Franz Liszt  who in turn studied with Carl Czerny who studied with Beethoven who studied with Haydn who studied with MOZART.

I studied for seven years at University of Alaska as an undergrad, giving a lot of concerts with and without orchestral accompaniment around the state. I entered and won several piano competitions, then went to go get my Masters Degree from Arizona state. I studied with Steven De Grotte who won the Van Cliburn  International Competition.

I moved to Oregon and finished another one and a half years of P.H.D study. I have been teaching piano since the age of 20, and decided to make it my profession as well as my passion.
